In the coming weeks and months we’re going to talk about energy, water, climate and national security. We plan to spend a bit of time on the looming uncertainty of our environment, some on the depletion of earth’s resources (fresh water, topsoil, minerals, etc.) and on the anticipated growth in demand for energy as populations grow and aspirations for a better standard of living do too. 

We will devote even more time, if things go as we plan, to what people in the United States and elsewhere are doing about all this. It’s not as though folks are sitting on their hands while the world falls apart around them. On the contrary, there is enormous human energy at work all around us … we’ll work to shine more light on that.
